TNE Quality Benchmarking (TNE QB)
TNE QB Advisory Board

The TNE QB Advisory Board is composed of international experts in the management, quality assurance, and regulation of TNE. The Advisory Board offers an extra layer of peer scrutiny to the decision to confer the TNE QB Quality Mark. It checks that the TNE QB review team’s recommendation to confer the TNE QB Quality Mark is based on sound evidence and reflects the TNE International Standards.

Nadia Badrawi

An Egyptian expert in Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education and a professor Emeritus of Paediatrics at Cairo University. Prof. Badrawi is the main founder and currently the president of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ANQAHE). She disseminated the culture of Quality Assurance in Higher Education at international regional and national levels. She is currently chairing the reform of Medical education committee for undergraduate and foundation years at the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. She was one of the main founders to establish and develop the National Quality Assurance Authority in Education in Egypt. She is also a Board Member of: The Advisory Council of the CHEA International Quality Group (CIQG).

Beka Tavartkiladze

Beka has 19 years of experience in credential evaluation and has extensive knowledge of foreign educational systems and the issues surrounding the recognition of international educational credentials. He frequently presents on foreign educational systems and the recognition of international educational credentials at national and international conferences and workshops. Beka has extensive experience working with licensing bodies and higher education institutions providing expert opinion vis-à-vis foreign credential recognition. Beka is a nominated member of the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials (CICIC) Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) Steering Committee which supports the QAF management to ensure its continuous improvement.

Dorte Kristoffersen

Dorte Kristoffersen is an experienced quality assurance professional with a strong international profile having held senior executive positions in quality assurance bodies in Australia, Denmark, Hong Kong, and the US. She was Executive Director of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) (2015-18), and one of the inaugural Commissioners of the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) in Australia (2011-14). Prior to this she was Vice President for Policy and Research at the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and an inaugural member of the European Quality Assurance Register Committee (EQAR). She has since 2018 worked as an independent consultant in quality assurance and higher education. She is currently a member of the University Quality Assurance International Board (UQAIB) in Dubai and the Quality Evaluation Panel of Macao.

Vincenzo Raimo

Vincenzo Raimo is a global higher education specialist with more than 20-years of hands-on experience in Transnational Education including as International Director at the University of Nottingham and as Pro Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement at the University of Reading. He was intimately involved in the development of the first Sino-foreign campus, University of Nottingham in Ningbo, and more recently he was Director and Chairman of RUMAL Reading Sdn. Bhd., the University of Reading subsidiary in Malaysia operating the University's EduCity branch campus. He is currently Chief Relationship Officer at Unilodgers.

Nitesh Sughnani

Nitesh Sughnani is the Director of University Quality Assurance at the Higher Education Department for the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). Nitesh, has been with the KHDA since 2008 and is responsible for managing the quality assurance activities of the University Quality Assurance International Board (UQAIB). UQAIB is an advisory board that is responsible for the quality assurance of all international branch campuses and the programmes they offer in Dubai. Nitesh is also Director for the University Rating and Classification System which inspects, classifies and rates Universities in Dubai using the Higher Education Classification framework (HEC). Nitesh Sughnani has a doctoral degree in higher education management from the University of Bath, UK.

Vangelis Tsiligkiris

Vangelis Tsiligkiris (FHEA, FCMI) is a Principal Lecturer at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University and a Visiting Professor at Birmingham City University. Vangelis is an experienced researcher and practitioner in the area of TNE and international higher education, having conducted high-profile research consultancy projects for the British Council, Universities UK International, and NAFSA. A record of his work can be found here. Over a period of 15 years, he developed and managed several European universities’ overseas partnerships. In 2016, Vangelis founded the TNE-Hub ( www.tnehub.org) an international network of researchers and practitioners in international higher education. Vangelis holds a PhD in cross-border higher education management by Birmingham City University.

Stephen Vickers

Stephen Vickers holds a PhD in International Studies from the University of Warwick and is a qualified teacher and company secretary. He was CEO at the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and the Vocational Training Charitable Trust (VTCT). He served as Treasurer and Hon European Officer for the Federation of Awarding Bodies, and spent 15 years at the University of Oxford Delegacy and 3 years at the University of Cambridge Syndicate and two years at Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA).

Ralph A. Wolff

Ralph A. Wolff is the founder and president of The Quality Assurance Commons for Higher and Postsecondary Education, created in 2016 to develop a certification process assuring that graduates of academic and postsecondary programs have the requisite Essential Employability Qualities (EEQs) needed for the dynamically changing workforce. Previously, Wolff served as president of the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) from 1996-2013. He is currently a member of the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI), which reviews accrediting agencies for federal recognition, and is a founding member of the University Quality Assurance Institutional Board (UQAIB) in Dubai.

Angela Yung-chi Hou

Angela Yung-chi Hou is Professor of Higher Education at National Chengchi University, Taiwan. Currently, she serves as Associate Dean of College of Education, National Chengchi University, as well as Executive Director of Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan. She has been involved in quality assurance practices and international research for more than 15 years, including serving as Vice President of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) and Board member of International Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (INQAAHE), Editor-in-chief of Journal of Higher Education Evaluation and Development and Journal of Higher Education.
