This project was the ENIC-NARIC Networks’ first formal study on how certificates of non-formal and informal learning in higher education were recognised, examining the approach in several European countries including, but not limited to, Denmark, France, Sweden and The Netherlands. Combining this research with an analysis of sample certificates and reports enabled the project team to formulate recommendations both for those institutions issuing the certificates and for the credential evaluators receiving these certificates, in order to promote transparency and fair recognition.
