Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the Community

As an Employee Ownership Trust, we do things a little differently from some other organisations.

Every one of our employees has a voice. Our people are highly motivated and committed. Our structure allows for our combined success as an organisation to be shared equitably across the company.

Volunteering is integral to who we are as a company, enabling us to support our local community. We are committed to contributing socially and environmentally. Our teams are giving something back, whilst making a long-lasting impact both inside and outside of the organisation.

Our values go beyond the workplace. Our volunteering efforts have supported our philanthropic, environmental, and social responsibilities. People are at the heart of what we do, and we strive to ensure our volunteering aligns with our core values.

Ecctis provides colleagues with 15 hours of paid time off during working hours to volunteer with the local charities and communities. These can be used within a full day or half day, or even by the hour. We want our people to do something that inspires them and take time away from their day-to-day to engage with and support the communities we live and work in.

Between June and December 2023 alone, our staff have spent 205 hours volunteering within the community (worth £114,000), which has reached 2,737 lives. We hope to continue making an impact.
