STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF QUALIFICATIONS
Global Schemes
Independent insight for organisations that need to compare, develop or position qualifications, programmes, standards and education systems internationally.
Ecctis Global Schemes combines decades of experience across education systems with evidence-based analysis. We help governments, awarding bodies, education providers, employers, professional bodies and regulators make confident decisions about recognition, progression and partnership development.
Our work shows how programmes compare, where they align with recognised benchmarks, and how they can be positioned for international collaboration, mobility and growth.
HOW GLOBAL SCHEMES CAN HELP
Turn complex qualification questions into credible findings
Drawing on 25 years’ experience in evaluation and recognition of international qualifications and skills, Ecctis Global Schemes provides tailored services for organisations that need to understand comparability, align with recognised frameworks, support progression routes, and build confidence in the quality and credibility of what they offer.
Qualification and programme benchmarking Independent evaluation of qualifications, pathways, training programmes and awards against national or international education systems.
Use benchmarking to show how qualifications, pathways, training programmes and awards compare with national or international systems. Clear evaluation outputs can support recognition, stakeholder engagement, progression agreements and publication.
New qualification development Strategic support for organisations designing, reviewing or strengthening qualifications.
Global Schemes can provide external review, benchmarking insight and practical recommendations as qualifications are designed or revised. This can strengthen credibility, clarify learning outcomes and support future recognition potential.
System and framework mapping Comparative analysis of education systems, qualification frameworks, occupational standards or sector-specific requirements across countries.
Understand how different systems are structured, where qualifications or standards align, and where important differences exist in level, scope, purpose, delivery or outcomes.
Recognition and mobility projects Evidence-based insight to support admissions, articulation, learner progression, professional mobility and international partnerships.
Our multidisciplinary team brings together subject specialists, quality assurance professionals and qualification design experts to provide evidence-based analysis that supports progression, mobility, partnership development and international recognition.
This project is not the end, but a new starting point for the school’s programme construction to move towards internationalization and achieve sustainable development. It has laid a solid foundation for us to build an internationally circulable technical and skilled talent training system, and has broadened the channels for students to pursue further studies across regions and obtain high-quality employment. Ecctis has demonstrated excellent professional standards and cross-cultural coordination capabilities in project implementation. Its rigorous, fair and efficient assessment process, as well as the considerate local support of the China office, have left a deep impression on us. This is a professional dialogue of real international significance and a model of cooperation that achieves mutual success
GLOBAL SCHEMES IN PRACTICE
Benchmarking in China: recognition at scale
Ecctis has delivered over 100 benchmarking projects across China for more than 60 higher education institutions and pathway providers. Projects include post-secondary Diplomas (Zhuanke), bachelor’s degree programmes and foundation year programmes, across sectors such as big data, intelligent engineering, hydrology, healthcare and artificial intelligence.
Each project benchmarks a specific qualification against international standards and selected frameworks, including the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). This helps institutions explain the standard of their provision, build international partnerships and strengthen student mobility.
